You Are What You Eat
We have all
heard the saying haven’t we? Well this time, I am not talking about your
calorie intake. I am talking about what you
are eating. The food you eat has an impact on your skin. Eat junk food all day
and you will notice (whether it is in break outs or some other way). In the same
manner, eat the right foods and your skin will look amazing. Here are a few foods
to look for next time you go to the super market:
Blackberries, blueberries, strawberries and plums
These four fruits hold more antioxidants than any other food. Antioxidants reduce the signs of aging by minimizing wrinkles and preserving the texture of the skin.
Salmon, Walnuts and Flax Seed
These three foods have a good source of fatty acids. Fatty acids are responsible for healthy cell membranes. Your cell membranes are supposed to keep the harmful stuff out and hold the good stuff out and
hold the good stuff in. So, if your cell membranes are not healthy they won’t be
able to keep the good stuff in. Like, moisture which keeps your skin looking plump
and young.
So, if you
need a motivation to eat healthier this New Year, just remember eating right doesn't only help control your weight, but keeps yourself looking young and vibrant!
